Snowdon Triple Challenge

Event Date: 26 May 2019

My personal message

Hi all,

I thought I would have a break from spending ALL my time in the saddle this year and I have decided instead to take part in the Snowdon Triple Challenge for Chai this coming May.

I'm very much looking forward to challenging myself mentally and physically as I take on some of the most demanding landscapes in Britain by bike, on foot and in a kayak.

As a group we plan to start our day by cycling 10.5 miles by the lake of LLanberis (should be okay), then trek 9 miles up and down the highest mountain in Wales, Snowdon via the Snowden Ranger path and Llanberis path (this could be tricky), and we finish off the challenge with a 2.5 mile kayak across Llyn Padam (i'm tired just thinking about it all now).

We are doing this in a bid to raise much needed funds for Chai, in particular  we are fundraising for the ‘Chai in Schools’ programme- an initiative which sends specialist therapists and counsellors into both primary and secondary schools to work directly with the children and teachers affected by a cancer diagnosis.

Together we are hoping to raise over £50,000 towards this programme so anything that you can give is greatly appreciated! Thank you.
